Mind Games US Accessibility Statement
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email customerservice@mindgames.ca
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and for MAC users.
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to customerservice@mindgames.ca

Definite winner – exactly as advertised and great Christmas gift
Alberto Campos –
I loved it, all my friends loved it too, it’s true what they said about the quality of the box, but in my opinion if you are careful enough the game should endure until you can pass it to your grandchildren.
Amazon Customer –
Love the game! It was definitely more fun to play this version than the original version. This game did end up taking us about 4 hours to finish and that is only because we drew the end game card if not it could have went on for another hour or two! But definitely one of my favorites!
kitty20 –
Everything was perfect! My husband was very impressed with the maps and quality! Also it’s an amazing game to play!
Blaine Otto –
Have a game on the go presently and had looked into auxiliary pieces for the armies of each of the groups, have not yet found
Chad C –
Very fun game, not sure why it’s rating is for an adult. There isn’t an ‘Australia’ so it makes for a lot more challenging game play.
C. Pep –
Very complex game for adults. Interesting and fun even for just two players. Multi level and true to the show!
Mariskaka –
Best game ever. I have never played risk before buying this game and we play every weekend. I would highly recommend it for people who like games and are competitive. The shiny board can be annoying in some lighting, some territories are almost the same color or fade into the color they used for water (black-ugh why black!), and the green player pieces look really similar to the grey pieces. That stuff doesn’t warrant less than five stars.

On to day 19 with my brother in Law playing this game its great .
LittleChip –
Spouse is big fan of both Risk and GOT, so this was a big win as a b-day present. Games are long, though. We like the extra modes — not just your childhood game of Risk.
Greg –
What’s better than being King of the Iron throne?! Exactly, nothing. I love to break out this game because most people assume it will take all night to play, but are surprised when it takes only about 2-3 hours to play a 3-4 person skirmish. Obviously, there is a more advanced play option that allows you to get into the weeds with the GoT theme, but I have always been a huge fan of the original RISK board game, so when I saw this, I knew I had to invest in it. Enjoy!

Product was exactly as advertised and was in perfect condition when it was delivered. It looks so sleek and cool. It is a gift for my boyfriend and I’m very excited to give it to him! A little pricey, but many specialty board games are and I felt the price cut was worth it.
Toni –
If you like games like magic the gathering or exploding kittens you will love this game. It combines Risk, Game of Thrones and cards that have abilities that help you along. Takes a minute and half to learn the rules and a few rounds before you get it but once you get going it is fun.
BlueBerry –
great for fans of the show or strat game fans. well designed in that the difficulty is scalable. a bit pricey but the models, game pieces and boards are great to look at. 4.5/5
Johnathon Snyder –
This is a great game, just know that it is very complex game. The other thing that I didn’t know when I bought this there is two boards to this game.
Amazon Customer –
This has to be the best version of risk I ever bought, playing this game with the different houses theme songs in the background makes this so epic. Only draw back from this is that there’s not enough pieces to play on both maps at the same time. If only they sold the pieces separate
Robert Lamont –
Some reviews of “GOT Risk” found little to add beyond the classic “Risk” game, I found this rating under valuing the insight in game dynamics and links to series book and show. Expansion rules provide a solid strategic venue for combatants to ply their skills and test various tactical approaches. More than a “Beer & Pretzel” gaming experience. An enjoy evening of board bound battle.
C. T. –
Gave this to grown children who love the series. They were thrilled.
Dominique Young –
Great detail and quality. The new game mode is incredible and the addition of the maester and character cards was genius.

Julie A. Besco –
this is officially my favorite version of risk. there is a way to win without killing all the other armies, by earning points, which adds a level of complexity that is wonderful.
Austin –
It is such a beautiful game board I love it!! It is a bit complicated at first but once you figure it out it’s fun to play. Only suggestion I would say is I wish the game pieces were magnetized to the game board.
nicole Patton –
This game is super versatile. For those of you who are just learning how to play risk it is a great beginner game. After you master the basics add in the GOT aspect of it. It is super addicting and a family favorite during the holidays!Disclaimer – this game may cause you or other players to become super competitive and have heated battles. May also cause adults to throw fits like a 15 year old girl!
Patrick –
Lots of fun offers a new way to play the classic risk game, and with the game of thrones setting ( they could use different amounts of pieces) but other than that very fun!
BookishGal –
The game is different from the original, there are new rules and new ways to play. But, its great gift for Game of Thrones fans!
Lori Cicchini –
Great challenging game for all Risk and GOT fans.
Stryker019 –
Good quality board and pieces, but the card quality is shoddy at best. They start out stuck together, and they are quite thin and don’t look like they’ll last all that long.

Huge fan of both Game of Thrones and Risk, this purchase was a no brainer for me.Enjoyed the Domination game mode way more than I thought I would, adding an extra layer of strategy that the regular Conquest game mode doesn’t offer.Domination game mode includes the use of house character cards, mission objectives, gold, maester cards and player boards for each house.Only issues I have was the high price, but glad I took the risk and overlooked it. Each house also felt skimmed on the number of army pieces as well. Normally am forced to use other colors to continue with the game.
Karly –
Bought this for my brother’s birthday. He loves it, and we’ve already spent hours playing. The board and pieces are very high quality and well made. Perfect for the gaming enthusiast!
Will –
Great theme/aesthetics, some of the character cards/house seats are oddly chosen. Also the font is hard to read in spots because of how tiny and dark it is.
LIQUIDSILVER –
I’m addicted to this show, and to play the game makes it even MORE fun!
Purple Snow –
my son and his friends Love this game he takes to his after school club
Amazon Customer –
The product itself is awesome as strategy board games mean a fun night. But I wish this came with more unit pieces….
SummerSummer –
Bought this as an anniversary gift for him my husband. His favorite boardgame is Risk. And we’ve collected several over the years. His a huge GOT fan, so it makes sense to get this! It’s very detailed, pieces feel well made. The box is is really pretty. It contains two boards, essos and westeros. Character and territory cards, and 7 houses(Ghiscari, Targaryen,Stark,Lannister, Baratheon, Tyrell and Martell). The instructions say that you can play with just two people. Will be giving that a go soon.At first I wasn’t sure if it was worth nearly $60, more than most Risk games. But it’s worth! Very nice, detailed, well made and I’m very impressed.Would buy again.

Good game! I’m not a huge board game fan, but bought this for my partner and occasionally agree to get my butt kicked playing her, but do have fun in the process. Nice to have multiple versions… especially ones that don’t take all day to play!
MFH –
I am a HUGE risk fan; it’s been my favorite game since middle school. This is a fantastic variation, especially when you play with seven players across both continents. Biggest Risk game EVER.
Amazon Customer –
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, and he loves it! The maps are beautiful, and the pieces are all high-quality. There are several ways to play this game, so you can customize the game play to fit your number of players, interests, time, etc. My husband and I are able to play just the two of us on the Essos map, and we’ve played with up to five people on the Westeros map (you can combine both maps and play with even more people). Both maps are fun, and the game play is drastically improved from the original Risk. My husband was so excited to get this game- it was his favorite Christmas present this year. Everything is very high-quality, and it’s so fun to play. I would definitely recommend this to any GoT fans.Note: We saw the same game being sold for $80 at Barnes and Noble.
Ashley Stull –
Love this game. Love this version even more.
The ultimate smoocher –
This was so good oh my goodness only love from me yessiree. Just as much murder and incest from the show. Love it. Mwah. Only kisses from me. I want to kiss the man who thought of this masterpiece. Smooches from me to him. Mwah
Bleedgreen 33 –
Fantastic game. Kids and parents were both enthralled. 3 games in one it can be relatively simple to complex based on who is playing and what experience they have. Highly recommend.
Amazon Customer –
First time playing risk after having played catan and it’s a great game! Love all the pieces and the slight changes to game play according to my friends! Both the modes are great but take along time as any Risk or strategy game does! Everything has great detail!
V. Hume –
Great game with a great theme! More complex than the original Risk, however. Recommend more mature gamers with this as this caused endless fights breaking out in my home. Will have to shelf it for another 5 years at least.

Amazing versión of Risk, When I play it I feel like stannis or robb planning every attack lol
Alexander Pope –
I love the two game boards and the domination mode of play where you get to use the characters from the show adds variety to gameplay. Also having objectives instead of just winning every territory can help shorten games instead of playing one game for 6 hours (in case you don’t have time to play that long but still want to play Risk).
Ashley Rae Cooper –
The family and I love playing the game. It’s perfect for when all of us are together. Or when it’s just me and my husband with the two player game. Absolutely love it

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it. Her only complaint was that the directions could have been slightly more detailed. Since purchasing we have played the game twice putting over six hours into each play through, so be sure to have plenty of free time to invest before starting a game. This game features three game modes including classic risk. There are two game boards included. You can use one or both boards depending on what game mode you choose. If you are a fan of Risk and are looking for a deeper experience this is the game for you. The new game modes add so many new factors to the game. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones and Risk this purchase is well worth the money.

The quality of this version is very nice. My only complaint is that the cards are prone to bending–I wish they were made of the same material as bicycle playing cards.
Maria –
Better version of risk!
Crystal H. –
Different than the original risk game but I had an absolute blast playing it. Definitely a favorite in our house

Franz Family –
We love this game! We’re a very competitive family and we play this for hours and hours! It’s and awesome game
ECR –
I am so happy with this purchase! The story lends itself perfectly to this game! I was happy to find that everything arrived in perfect condition, and the box, pieces, and game boards are all beautiful and well crafted. The only thing that I noticed that could be a little better is the green Tyrell game pieces are close in color to the grey Stark pieces. A more vibrant green would make it a lot easier to distinguish your forces from each other at a glance during game play. Certainly not a deal breaker though!
kenneth Patrick Higgins –
I was always a risk fan, however this game adds so much more to it. With options to play with 2-7 players it’s right for any size group. There’s so much that you can do, almost nothing is safe. The best part of the game is that it moves the focus away from conquering the entire board (which can literally take days), and instead you’re focused on victory points. This allows an average game to last 1.5-3 hours depending on the group and the aggressiveness of players. It says 18 and over, but I believe that that is due to the difficulty of the game. There is no nudity in this board game.
Josh Statts –
It’s Risk and Game of Thrones, there is no downside.
Romina C. –
My husband and I are Risk lovers already and we love that this game lets us connect to one of our favorite TV shows. It took us a while to figure out all the rules and complexities of game play, but we have had a lot of fun with this game. I like that we can play it as a 2-player game as well, whereas a lot of Risk games are not as fun with just 2 people. The special forces, ports, characters, etc. all make it so that this game can become a lot more strategic and less reliant on luck — though in the end, having good dice rolls is a must!! I have found the game pieces, cards, etc. to be of good quality — no different from other Risk games played.

great experience, I would buy from this seller again.
rene –
First game and it shattered already my relationships! would buy it again, tho cards are litte too thin and the armies could have been more detailed (talking about the 1 army soldier figures). But overall all nice. Just there are no other figres like the cannons in the normal risk?
Amazon Customer –
When you open the box, you can see all the nice detailed soldiers and their cool little boxes and everything you need. Every house’ troops are detailed and they look awesome. Even if you don’t know anything ablut GoT, it is still a fun risk game. The good thing is, it has a very good instruction in it which makes everything pretty clear and helps you get the job done faster. Plus, you only need 2 players to play it, the essos map is for that and it is still very fun to play. The only bad thing is that the packaging is not so good, the box was a little bit damaged for me but there was nothing to ruin the fun of the game. If you want a nice game to play with your friends who knows GoT, definitely get this game.
Seth B. Davidson –
Beautifully done Game of Thrones inspired RISK board game. Quality pieces.
Nathan Hoffman –
Great game, love the variation and doesn’t take a day and a half to play.
Rebecca_Reviews –
Amazing game, you can actually play it with just two people. The maps and pieces are beautiful.
JayMan88 –
I’ve been playing Risk since the 70’s and its my favorite game of all time. I’ve seen a lot of different versions of the game, but this Game of Thrones version is very unique and very cool and it actually makes it like you’re playing Risk for the first time.
mnmarkos –
if you like risk and got, just buy it… there are actually two boards, and an additional advanced version to play. well worth it… super fun.
Brad –
It came in today and we played it this evening. The gameplay was nice. Pretty standard Risk. We played skirmish and didn’t get into the advanced gameplay with character cards, gold, etc. The one glaring drawback is the fact that House Tyrell (light green) and House Stark (light grey) are too similar. It was a real headache keeping those pieces distinguished. I may end up spray painting the Tyrell pieces a darker shade of green. Honestly though it’s pretty dumb to have the Tyrell pieces so similar to the Stark pieces.

Wow, where to start. Double sided game board, sea ports, castles. They all play a part in the game of thrones. Character cards, defensive/offensive boost for the advanced gamer.
D. Pennington –
I bought this for my husband who loves to play Risk. He likes the fact that you can have a two player game and that there is a new map to play on. Every year at Christmas he gets together with his best friends for a night of Riskmas, he is excited to share the new game this year.
Jane E. Janes –
Gave this to my daughter’s family for Xmas. They love “Risk” so I thought this would please them and it did.

So much fun now my friends and i have a biweekly game
Jordan Greer –
I bought this for my boyfriend for Valentines Day and he was so excited we ended up playing it for the remainder of the night! Super great quality.
Amazon Customer –
My boyfriend wanted this game, so I purchased it for his birthday. I was not really looking forward to playing because I’ve never played Risk, it seemed quite complicated, and my boyfriend often drives me insane when we do anything competitive. However, I was a damn fool. This game is so much fun, we’ve played it probably two or three times a week for the past month. There’s multiple different ways to play, and unlike many board games, it’s still great for just two players.Definitely a great gift for someone to open because it’s hefty, attractive, and has really nice presentation. My only complaint would be that sometimes it’s hard to differentiate the colors on the map and pieces.

The boards are absolutely stunning. Had a great time playing with friends. With multiple ways to play it’s important to read the rules before beginning.
Alexander F. –
Tons of fun to play. Each noble house has its own characters and abilities to help turn the tide of battle. Excellently crafted and a great addition to any collection.
Tina S –
Great game; well balanced and worth the money quality-wise. I wish the color scheme was easier to differentiate, and that the Stark pieces had broader/heavier bases so they were easier to keep upright while moving them.
Amazon Customer –
Good
paganka –
Thanks, works as advertised
Ron –
Awesome version of the game.Played it with 4 players and 5 players. The Maester cards and gold changed the dynamic of the game. The set was missing some of the Baratheon army pieces or it would be 5 starUpdate: I contacted USAOPOLY about the missing pieces and the customer service lady was amazing! They more than earned the 5th star on my review. I have all of the pieces and feel good that the company takes care of their customers like me.
André –
RISK is a great game, the GoT edition is even better. The ports especially makes for a great element to gameplay and strategy. The maps are large and the pieces are great looking. The only down-side I can think of is that the Stark (gray) and the Tyrell (light green) armies are a bit hard to tell apart. I’m thinking about repainting the Tyrells to a bit darker green. The two maps enables great variety as to how many players, any number from 2 players (head-to-head) to 7 players.Buy it, enjoy it. Everyone I’ve introduced this game to has loved it.
Jennifer Reichley Turner –
Best game ever!!! This is different from the traditional game of RISK but if you are a Game of Thrones fan AND a RISK fan it’s so much fun and so competitive! I love playing with my brothers!!
Jenae –
Super fun. I have not played “Dominion” mode yet, just started with playing “skirmish” mode to get a feel for the game with friends. The instructions were a bit confusing at first but we watched a quick Youtube tutorial for clarification. We started the game still a little confused but after 1 round we totally had it figured out. Don’t give up if you’re confused; it is so worth it.We all got super into the game &stayed way past planned due to being enthralled in concuring Westeros. We played for 3 hours and likely would’ve played for at least another hour before the game end.We had to call it due to having to work the next day so we snapped photos of the game board &our cards so we could resume the game in a few days. We were all so into the game that we will likely get together again to finish. It is also great that I can look forward to trying a different map &different game mode to keep things fresh.

love this game! got it for my boyfriend as a christmas present. you can play with 2 players all the way up to 9. the quality of the pieces and boards are very good. there are different modes for different difficulties of play. i highly recommend it! =)

The product arrived quicker than expected. I would have given a 5 star rating but there was a small dent in the box. I did not originally see this in the description, my own fault. But other than this everything inside was brand new. The game is the best version of risk ever made in my opinion.
Cameron –
This is a really nice detailed board game. Glad we bought it! Ut was a great way to get my wife to play risk with me haha
Ken Soto –
Very fun and interesting take on RISK using GOT. Not sure I like the fact that they used House Ghascari or whatever but otherwise it was a good purchase 😀 Fun to play with friends that enjoy the show.
Andrew S.Z. –
Home-run gift idea for anyone who’s a classic board gamer and GoT fan.
Jessie –
Hours of fun with versions to play. Classic game turned into an awesome theme. Very long game. Always a hit when we host risk night with our favorite show themed game.
kristof jacobs –
This Risk game really feels like a Game of Thrones game. It combines the best of both worlds: the thrill of Risk battle with the familiar feel of Game of Thrones. I especially like the addition of the Maester cards, special units and 8-sided dice. Unlike the original Risk a losing player has still plenty of options to entertain him/herself and obstruct opponents. Excellent game!
Santos Correz –
Very nice version of RISK. I love that the little storage boxes for the army pieces are included. This game has some quirks. Following the instructions for Skirmish mode (placing two single units in each territory at the beginning of the game) will quickly exhaust your supply of units in a three player game. Also, the instructions sometimes contradict what is printed on some game pieces. Aside from these minor glitches, it’s a very nice presentation. You get nondescript single unit markers which, aside from color, are the same for each house and a pretty cool themed three-unit marker which is unique to each house. I do wish there were three unit types rather than only two. I would have preferred ones, fives, and tens … and plenty of them.Several other themed RISK games have similar expanded game mechanics but the seven Houses of Westeros ensure that this RISK game is especially fun for fans of Game Of Thrones.

This was a xmas gift for my husband. His favorite show is Game of Thrones and years ago we loved playing Risk so I knew this would be a hit. We just played the other night and theres ALOT of extra stuff that’s not in the regular Risk but it was fun once we got it all figured out. Looking forward to playing again now that we have an idea what we are doing. 🙂

Do you value your friendship? Yes? Then dont play risk…Its fun making references with the books/show while playing! Love the two different board combination. The box came damaged.

This game is super fun and a lot more intricate than traditional risk. There’s money and special powers and back stabbing oh my!!!My friends and I a chipped in for it and best 2 out of 3 wins the game. I lost but still a fun game.

The media could not be loaded.
I read some reviews on here complaining about the condition of their box and missing pieces…..I ordered this from Amazon, and it arrived in great shape with everything included. This is truly a Collector’s Edition game! This is a heavy game that comes with a bunch of things including 2 full sized boards! Each army comes with 30 soldiers, 15 House exclusive tokens, & 1 base token. USAOPOLY has done an epic job on this Game of Thrones edition of Risk! Here is my video of my complete unboxing of the game so you can easily see what you get inside.

what I’m reviewing here is about the quality of product, the paper that covering the objects like coins are so poor that when I was putting the coin out of the sheet they been ripped here and there. Some cards are cutted in the wrong way which I’m including in photos.
M. Montague –
Nicely made, can’t wait to find time to play it. Opened and looked at the boards and pieces, cool set.
NTEOWL –
Bought this for my brother as a birthday present and he was very happy to get it.
Brown –
Very appealing game with a vast range of play so that even your young members of the family who are just learning to count can play
Chante –
Boyfriend loved his birthday present. We spent over 5 hours playing
Chiara Useche –
Very Entertaining!I bought this for my cousin but the entire family ended enjoy it a lot! The GoT theme makes the game more interesting but if you’re not a fan of the series you can play it as well without any problem.
Adrian –
Very well made. Even the cardboard tokens come printed on both sides which not many games do nowadays. The troops have a very high level of detail. Cards are in the so so category. Will probably encase them to protect them in the long run. Boards are very good quality, can’t wait to play a 7 player game!

As a fan of the show I picked up this edition of Risk to have in my collection. I played Risk before but it being GOT themed really got me wanting to play. The base game is still Risk, obviously, but once you’ve played that a few times try dominion. It took the game to a whole different level. In dominion you get to use some of the characters from the show, it includes 7 of the main houses/families in the show. It ranges from the Starks to the Martells. Another really cool thing is it includes two maps, Essos and Westeros, which are part of the GOT world. Each map is used in different occasions, depending on how many people you have playing. I’ve gotten the chance to play with just two people which takes place on Essos, and it works wonderfully and it engages you through adding a lot more depth to game with gold and maester cards(which truly change the game). Also, if you have more than six players you can actually combine the two maps and get a world at war game going. It is hectic but s lot of fun trying to take over the territories across two physical lands. I’ve gotten the chance to play this and it is truly a great iteration of a classic game.In the end, if you enjoy Risk this edition adds a new depth by adding characters you wouldn’t regularly have. If you’re a fan of the show and have never played Risk, pick this up, Risk is a lot fun and involves deep strategy. If you like both Risk and GOT, this is a must have.

Great and cheaper to order online

Given as a Christmas gift and my son surprised his step dad with it!!! He was beyond thrilled! He loves Game of Thrones and this just amazed him that there was even such a thing!

If you like GoT buy this. I can never again play another type of Risk board ever again ❤️Comes with Essos and Westeros boards
Cape Breton Lover –
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He loves the game of Risk and got the rest of us to play several times as well. It is a well put together game and my son was very happy with it.

Awesome game, great art and a lot of fun to play with friends!

Fun but the ports can make games last forever

I had to change it the first time because it had a smack. But the second one is perfect!

Oh the drama! Boys night + Risk = Night of intrigue, deception and war!

Seriously, when your entire family loves the Game of Thrones, how can you go wrong with this purchase? It’s a little pricey but totally worth it seeing everyone’s reaction. Excellent.
Peter E. –
Great game. I love how true to the world they keep the characters, locations and quest pieces. Each house has their own color and figure. (Stark; Direwolf, Lannister; Lion, etc.) Just like in the books and show, power can change hands rapidly, and even in one turn, with the right combination of luck, skill, and cunning play. Very nice quality pieces and game boards. My almost 40 year old brother, who does not play games, told me he thought it was “worth the money just for the maps!”
Will –
great fun. with both maps even more players than regular RISK. the pieces are pretty cool too.
Egolas –
Bad: there are not enough army pieces. Sometimes rules are not the best way to play. Spaces within the box don’t fit to its content properly. Westeros territories are too small. Color of the sea doesn’t help to Baratheon’s player. Colors of some regions are wrong like “westerlands” or “Slaver’s bay”.Best: Pieces detail. Box, boards and cards quality. Keep the essence of the show.Right: Everything else.
Dave –
Very satisfied. High quality board game and pieces, plus the added bonus of having everything Game of Thrones themed. You do not need to “know” anything about the show to play, so you would have no problem playing with non-watchers. This was a great option to get a game a loved as a kid with an updated theme.
Jacob H –
Haven’t spoken to my family since playing. 10/10 would do again.

I was so excited to find this version of Risk! I eagerly opened the box and memorized every part of the handbook and pieces. It truly is beautiful! I love that this game has two boards, one board for a two people (with an extra house as an enemy) game or a bigger board for more than three people. The houses each have their sigil has pieces which is cool. The game is easy to memorize and a lot of fun. The layout of the maps make it difficult. It’s all in luck and strategiery. I highly reccomend this board game for any Risk and Game of Thrones lovers.*Note: this was my first time playing Risk and I’m absolutely hooked!

Perfect gift. Delivery was good and it arrived in great shape.
Rachel Webster –
Great game if you never want to speak to your family again! This one has an extra board with more lands. It’s a long drawn out game and the rules are a little different but same concept. The whole family played while we were in Hawaii and everyone was making alliances and backstabbing each other just like in GOT. Everybody was pissed at each other and ready to punch everyone in the face….great family fun!!

Fun game! It’s a great birthday present. My boyfriend loves it. There’s different levels of difficulty with extra cards to make playing more interesting. As you go along you start running out of smaller pieces and they could have made the colors for the pieces more distinguishable but still a good game for everyone.
Edgar –
Although you can play the classical or basic skirmish from the original risk, if you play with both maps (Westeros and Essos), which means six or seven players involved, special units, special cards, etc. That’s what this edition is intended for… Game of Thrones. It’s more interesting, entertaining and fun than other risk editions. Very happy with it.
Felipe M.Felipe M. –
That’s an ideal product if you like the strategy games and Game of thrones.
AugustBound –
Great, It was a gift for my bf and now he can’t stop playing. We didn’t know how to play Risk at first but it’s pretty simple to get. A lot of fun!
Chaser –
Really learned the game of thrones map from playing this. The “short” game is my preferred way to play, but there is also a long more intense game. Definitely a shortage of troop pieces but you can make do.
Enrique –
Awesome version of a the classic board game. If you’re fan of the books and/series you’ll love it too.
Ron MF Mason –
Total different from the original but it is definitely fun.
NB –
Like that there are two different boards
Matt –
Got this on sale. Great risk game with the option for all number of players. First game went very smooth even though we were first time risk players. Board and pieces are awesome. Only suggestion would be to use a deck holder so you can see the final card in skirmish.
Ege A. –
If you are a fan of GoT or Risk this piece is just needed in your house. Since I am a fan of both I just can’t have enough of this game. After a few play throughs you will know that a game night with friends won’t feel complete without this.
Joe D. –
Love playing with my son and his friends. A little more complicated than the original Risk, but same princi0les apply.
Wendy –
Fun game, made even more fun with a Game of Thrones theme. A must have for every fan.

AWESOME
Tyler Durden –
Bought it as an anniversary gift for my girlfriend.. and we love it.. it’s fun playing as houses from the show and makes it more immersive..Must buy for GoT fans..
Christy –
This version is so much better than any other version I’ve played. Game changing Maester cards make this a great game. My only complaint is that the board is kind of hard to read and differentiate the territories. Metal coins for the gold would have also been a nice touch.
Arianna Mcilwain –
Got this game as a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it! We play it all the time. The box is hard and durable so I assume it wont wear for a while. Only downfall is that mine was missing two pieces but we do without them
Helena –
Great challenge for the Risk and Game of Thrones fans. Much strategy involved. The pieces are all interesting. Maps are really cool. Takes time to play it through. Our youngest player was 13 and he picked it up.
Amazon Customer –
The best risk game ever. The Detail on the cards and the army tokens are awesome both maps are very well build.but two thing that could be changed to improve the game is that the cards seem very flimsy and it’s recommended that you put protective sleeves to last you a long time the other thing is that the rivers on the map look like borders so it can be a bit confusing but after a while you get used to it all said this game is a must get for any GOT fan or Risk
William Eustathios –
Great
Victoria –
Expensive but worth it. So many pieces and really good quality
Joe –
Family loved the games with its few deviations from the original. Flaw: black text on dark background game board made reading placenames unnecessarily difficult. Minor issue. Enjoyed the game!

My husband and I LOVE this game! We can play with just the two of us whilst binge-watching GoT or drag his reluctant family members into the bloodbath.
Andrew Pidgeon –
Fun take on Risk. Love the game
Lore –
Loved the overall look and feel of the board game. My husband and i loved watching GoT so i decided to buy him this. Love that it comes with two boards that can be played together or separately. One board is even meant for 2 player game play which is great for us when we wanna play alone against eachother. This risk edition is a must have for GoT fans and/or Risk Fans!!

This game is super fun and a lot more intricate than traditional risk. There’s money and special powers and back stabbing oh my!!!My friends and I a chipped in for it and best 2 out of 3 wins the game. I lost but still a fun game.
Amazon Customer –
This is so much more than a GOT version of Risk: it is practically a different board game. It is SO GOOD. It is full of surprises and possibilities, expect “plot twists” as good as those in GOT.My only complaint is that some cards are very badly written and it is not clear what they are supposed to do or when they can be played; the instruction booklet could e more clear too. Other than that, this is a must have

Everyone was fighting over the North. If you thought Risk was a game that you lost friendships over before lol….It got pretty real. Great Game.

My family was excited!

I gave this as a gift to my brother for Christmas and my whole family ended up becoming obsessed! If you’ve played risk before, you know this is a longer game. Depending on how you play this one (there are a couple of options) it can be even longer (12+ hours.) There’s a lot of variation that can be used to make it different every time you play. We loved this game and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys GoT and board games!
Renee Lynch –
LOVE, LOVE this game!! Our whole family and some of my sons friends all love playing this one. I will say that I echo a common thought with a lot of other reviewers…it needs more army pieces. So much so that we actually bought a 2nd one so that we have enough pieces when playing but that’s a personal choice. But love that in a world of social media and video games my crew will still slow down enough to play this board game.

Such a great game, if you like Risk and GOT you will love this game.

Awesome game! My boyfriend and I are avid Game of Thrones fans, and we both loved playing game. Did our relationship hit a rough patch when the Lannisters concurred all of the Essos and left the Targaryens defenseless on Meereen? Possibly. He made up for it by buying me a Blizzard so I suppose it’s ok. Worth the money, and the potential break up if you’re playing as a couple. WINTER IS COMING! –]—— (that’s a sword)

Can’t wait to play! Got it for a gift for my hubby – packaging looks great

I bought this for my boyfriend last Christmas and boy did I get my money’s worth. We play this all of the time. We have people over at least twice a month to play. It’s super fun and doesn’t take nearly as long as regular Risk. And there are three different ways to play. It’s great. Cannot recommend enough, even if you aren’t a Game of Thrones fan (which if not, what’s wrong with you?)
Darlene B –
Excellent game. Thanksgiving weekend game day, entire family to include 14 and 13 year old grandchildren. 3 days of fun – additive.
Aurelio Majors –
Very fun game. We love board games and host board game nights pretty frequently. All of us love watching Game of Thrones, so this was the perfect addition to our collection. The game is fairly long (longer than it takes to play Monopoly), but it was fun to strategize while playing this game.
marey –
I am so impressed with the quality of this board game. I’m a very organized person and absolutely loved that this came with small containers to keep the pieces separated. As for the game itself, I am really impressed with the different game options included. It’s a bit of a splurge for a board game, but it’s honestly equivalent to three games in one and makes great GOT novelty.
Bunny Rose –
We had a blast playing this game on Christmas day. I would have given it a 5 star, but it had 2 sets of doubles in its cards and was missing two cards (countries). The Seller did a great job getting it shipped quickly and packaged well. The game came undamaged. Anyone who loved Risk or The Game of Thrones will enjoy playing this version.I highly recommend this game and this Seller..

Pristine condition upon arrival! The shrink wrap was intact no visible defects to be found ,all the pieces are included and no damages. It looks like a well put together packaging for storage and seems very sturdy.

This game is so cool. We’ve played it three times–it’s a long game, and we are looking forward to playing it over the long cold dark winter. Winter is coming!
Karolina Almasi –
My wife got this for me and I love it. We played the skirmish style with my parents and it definitely takes hours to finish a game. We played with both of our respective parents as well and they know nothing about RISK, still enjoyed it a lot. Only issues:Certain parts of the map are too dark to tell how many territories are in that region (but the board does say how many are in each so you can figure it out).Could use more pieces but it still works.Getting our parents into it was a lot easier all things considered (They’re in their 60s). Next time we play we’ll try to incorporate the game of thrones aspects to it.I imagine if you play with more than 6 people and use all the different unique features of this game, you’ll commit easily 6+ hours. ESPECIALLY if some players are new to either risk or game of thrones.Edit: played the domination mode with our parents, minus the character cards. They got it pretty well for not having English as a first language.Tips to speed up:Encourage people to just roll the dice and not do their 10 hail Marys as they shake the die.Don’t let parents get confused with the maester cards, offer to just read it for them.

A gift for my son who is thrilled with it. It looks as he expected.

The reason this Risk game is so fun is it comes with two boards so up to seven people can play. It made for a fun party!
Luis Carlos Niño –
Totalmente nuevo, me encantó el producto. Llegó en excelente estado y bastante rápido. Gracias.

I love it. You will never open any other versions of Risk after playing this. Played the skirmish mode first and it was really fun then played dominion with 5 and really enjoyed it. But the best was playing world at war dominion style with 7. Even though it went on for a long time noone got bored.
Jake Dean –
I have a few other versions of risk and this is by far the nicest and most well organized version. If you are a fan of game of thrones and risk this will not disappoint. It shipped quickly and in good condition.

Product was great. But the reason why packages are being stolen is because AMZN doesn’t know where to put them. Make sure you’re home when your package is delivered.
Chelsea –
Awesome game to play, I just wish you could play both versions with 2 people as it’s quite hard to get so many people over to play the game on the Westeros board frequently.
Bethany Y Coursen –
My children loved risk growing up. When we saw this we had to have it and I am so glad tha we did. They played for hours.
s.stover –
It was as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves it. We take it with us to family functions and everyone seems to love it, like we do the show!
Sean –
Awesome game! If you want to play with both boards with only a couple of players I recommend you adapt some of the rules from Star Trek Risk. Other than that the boards look great, the pieces are neat and I like how they came in their own plastic containers. The other great thing about this is the player cards and character cards. They player boards remind you of the game play and order and the character cards add some nice twists.
Monica Trevino –
Arrived on time and with all pieces. The detail/quality on the figurines could have been better.
Casey Bartlett –
This was a great find, and my husband loved it! A great twist from the original risk for GoT lovers. I am, however, struggling to find replacement pieces as our dog has already eaten one of the land cards.
Jim Mann –
It was a gift…BIG HIT…THEY LOVED IT.

Love this game. I suggest you get card sleeves. Also no drinks around the board. One spilt and color started coming off. I’ve since then used spray matte mod pogde to prevent any more damage.

This comes with multiple ways to spice up gameplay, but there doesn’t seem to be quite enough pieces. My family usually gets other colors to fill what should be extra little pieces. Sometimes we’ll implement the original risk board game rules, because this version does get confusing. However, it’s beautiful! Great design. It’s themed in early GoT so it’s nostalgic. Also feels great to say you’re going to take over King’s Landing and defeat the Lannisters!
Rachel –
Bought my brother this game for his birthday. He loves playing Risk since he was a little kid and he’s a big fan of Game of Thrones. He can’t wait to play!
Eduard Sulé Armengol –
Excellent game even more if you love GOT universe. Maester cards and character cards add a lot of depth and as far as I know is pretty balanced. The only con I would remark is the fact it lacks some army pieces if you are planning to conquer all westeros+essos, but in any case you can solve this issue using army pieces of other houses or from other Risks games.
CoffeeRunningCatLady –
We have never played Risk before in our lives (50 years old and 47 years old). We enjoy this game so much! It’s our go-to game!

As a fan of both Risk and Game of Thrones (show and books) I was very excited to get my hands on this game. I’m happy to report that this version of Risk is the most enjoyable that I have ever played, and is fun even if you are unfamiliar with the show. I have played the 2-player and 3-player versions of the game at the time of this review. The biggest change to classic risk is the introduction of gold as a resource. At the beginning of a players turn, the player will gain additional armies and gold, based on the number of territories occupied. Additionally, some territories contain castles and/or ports, which give bonus armies and gold, respectively. Gold can be spent at the beginning of your turn to buy Objective cards or Maester cards. Objective cards are just what they sound like – accomplish the mission described by the card, and you are awarded points toward winning the game. Maester cards give you access to a random one-use ability which requires additional gold to use. Some are during your own turn but others can be used during your opponents. The cards have a wide variety of offensive and defensive uses, and can dramatically alter the course of you or your opponents turn. These are a great addition as new strategic options are presented, and the game becomes very dynamic. Power will shift between players quickly with a well timed card. Fans of the show will love how thematic the cards are, as their abilities make some great references that are very much in the spirit of GoT. One player might plan an invasion only to have it derailed by a wedding between the players houses, or a defection of traitorous armies to the opposing player. There were multiple instances during our games where several players were cackling with delight at thwarting an enemies best-laid plans with the perfect card.On top of these one-time use Maester cards, each player controls a House modeled after those in the source material. Each house has 4 character cards which provide abilities that may be used once per turn by spending gold. The abilities are themed to match their characters. For example, Davos Seaworth is a character for House Baratheon whose naval skill gives a bonus in battles involving a sea port. It’s a nice touch that gives each army a slightly different flavor. These differences aren’t so drastic as to upset game balance, but rather just add a bit of variety to offer differing playstyles.Long time Risk players will notice that armies are much smaller in this version than in classic Risk, and this is an undeniably good thing. Gone are the days of 45 unit armies squaring off for ten minutes of dice rolling attrition. The smaller armies can be upgraded to pack a stronger punch by way of tokens which allow to to add +1 to your die roll or exchange a 6-sided die for an 8-sided one, for example. Having more concentrated armies helps speed the game up without sacrificing the satisfaction of fielding or facing a powerful army. Additionally having smaller armies makes it much more difficult to “hole up” in a corner of the map and play too defensively. This is made even more true by the addition of Ports to some territories. Ports of matching colors can invade one another as if they were adjacent, meaning players separated geographically can still fight if they are connected by the sea. From a manufacturing standpoint, all game pieces are of a very high quality. The two boards, Westeros and Essos, are beautiful, accurate maps. The game pieces themselves are very nicely detailed (particularly the Baratheon Stags, although I fear some may lost some antlers in the future). All of the cards have a high quality print, with high definition character photos.I have one minor quibble with the game, and that is the invention of “House Ghiscari” as one of the playable factions. Other houses are Targaryen, Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Tyrell, and Martell. Ghiscari was created using several (very) minor characters to give an oppositional force to the Targaryens on the continent of Essos for 2-person games, or for 6-7 player games which involve using both boards at once (!). Simply put, as a book or show fan this “House” is pretty lame. The combined screen time of all four of your characters is less than most individual major characters. I understand why they made the decision to create them, but they are definitely the least exciting faction to control from a thematic standpoint. As I mentioned before, I have only played this with 2-3 players. The 3 person games took about 3 hours to complete. Game length is certain to increase with the number of players, especially if several are unfamiliar with the rules. Being familiar with the basic Risk rules will expedite learning, but there is some adjusting to be done with the new rule additions. I suggest playing with the Objective cards that give Victory points rather than playing until all but one player is eliminated, so that you don’t end up with a bunch of friends sitting around for an hour while two players duke it out to the finish. One thoughtful rule change was to provide small bonuses to players whose turn comes 3rd or later (such as some starting gold) so that they aren’t helpless, watching all of the other players smash them to pieces before they even get their first turn. I thought this was a very clever way of leveling the playing field.Overall, I would highly recommend this game for Risk fans. You don’t have to be an avid GoT fan to enjoy it, but being familiar with it will absolutely enhance your experience as you understand all of the references.

Gorgeous design and quality. Once we figure out the instructions, we will let you know. Still on the list of things to do 3 months later.

Suuuuuch a good game! It follows the normal risk rules but adds in a few other things to level the playing field. Also, being entirely GoT themed, it’s easier to find people who want to play through an entire game! Win win if you ask me.
Jacobe Wendell –
I purchased this some months ago and holy cow.. I did not bargain for this. Price is quite steep but all board games tend to run a little pricey as of late. I’ve played this with groups as small as 3 players and had a group of 7 players at one time. Do only purchase this if you are comitted to leaving 6-7hours of your day out to just play a game with friends and family. Number of players does not really affect the amount of time it takes. Then the house rules! Have fun with those haha!
Amazon Customer –
Seriously so much fun. The shortened version is great for new players or people looking for shorter games. Even our non-board game playing friends enjoyed it- the board and the pieces are really beautiful as well. I’m so glad we made this purchase!

This version has more than the other versions. 2 different maps to play depending on the number of players and easily played with 2 players. The pieces are numerous and the detailing is really nice. I don’t quite understand why the packaging warrants a $100.00 price tag but whatever.
Todd Sweryda –
Very good version of the game.. Liked teh smaller continents to take for the extra armies.. Its easy to play with the original rules.

I am 14 years old and I bought this after recently getting hooked on Game of Thrones. I had never played risk before, but I always liked the concept. When I first felt this, I was suprised by how heavy it was. I brought it to a friend house without even opening it. When I did, I noticed how high quality every piece was and how much detail it had. For fans, you have both westeros and essos. For two players you use essos, for 3,4,and 5 you use westeros, and for 6 and 7 you use both. You do not need to know. It has two game modes, skrimish and dominion. Skirmish, I assume, is like the original game. Dominion has characters and golden dragons and a lot more stuff that makes it more like GOT. Frankly, I’m to afraid to try dominion yet, as I just got the game 2 days ago, but I know now that this is my new favorite board game. The only problem is that you don’t really have enough pieces for 2 or 3 player games, but if each player adopted another house as well as their own, this problem can be avoided. If this game was a sword, it would be valyrian steel.

Family enjoyed this version
Andy RR –
Great game. I love that the pieces are so detailed. It makes it feel more authentic as if the theme song from the tv show is playing. There is an option for 2 players, which is great since a lot of games don’t have an alternate play option. Playing 2 player has really helped someone like me, a novice, to get a good base understanding of how Risk in general works.

This is the best Risk board out there GOT fan or not. My friends who never play Risk are obsessed with it now. Everyone should be playing this game.

Great buy. Came brand new with plastic wrap great Christmas gift. For a GOT fan
Ashley Lee –
We play this game as a family quite often. I love this new take on Risk. We’ve all watched the show so there are frequent shouts of “King in the North” and “A Lanister always pays his debts” while we play. My kids are teenagers and young adults (early 20s) and this is a great strategy game. I don’t think they would have wanted to play it as much without the GoT theme. Worth buying, I kinda like the map of Westeros too.

The exterior Brown box it was delivered in was a little battered but the game it’s self was in perfect condition. Can’t wait to gift it to my husband!

I bought this for my fiancé for Christmas, he loved it so much, we played it that day! It is a lot of fun, there is a short version or long version to play Beware you could be at it for hours! Its a lovely game to play with friends and family, and all of the characters and regions are included! Its a great gift for anyone who loves Game of thrones!

I love risk and GOT but we took this out of the box and played a total of 1 time. The map is hard to get used to and is so dark all the colors blend together. There are completely different rules and not enough “men” to place. Overall I’d rather play regular risk and keep this for special occasions when is hardcore GOT fans wanna whip it out, only to regret it later.

This game was bought as a gift. It came nicely packaged and was very appreciated by receiver.
