As a lady on the downslope of her 30s, I get quite a few puzzled looks when I bring this set to work. I like to work on it in my downtime as it helps me de-stress from a stressful job/environment. This is my first Technic build. I did not enjoy LEGOS this much as a child, as I lacked the creativity and spatial awareness to build anything that wasn’t planned out for me. I enjoy following directions, and the advanced technical level of this kit helps me develop my spatial ability. I’m looking forward to completing this build and seeing what else the Technic line has to offer.

I enjoy building some of the Lego models and received the Batmobile as a gift. I had recently built the Saturn V and BD-1. The Batmobile was by far the most challenging build of the three. The finished product is quite rugged – it can take handling without something being dislodged, etc. Working rack & pinion steering that can be manipulated externally, a V-8 ‘engine’ with clear cylinder heads to see piston action in motion and two light bricks. A pretty awesome model.

It took me about 9 hours to do this build, and I did the entire thing in a single sitting. I have to say, for a figure that primarily uses LEGO Technic, I was pretty worried about holes in the vehicle since there are only about 6 to maybe 20 standard LEGO pieces within. Everything else is Technic, but after having the entire thing put together, I was worried for nothing. The figure is only slightly outdone by a few diecast models going around. So hopefully, that gives an example to the nods seen in every facet of this build, from the fully working drivetrain to the moving pistons and rotating exhaust section at the rear. The only thing missing is the fuel port so that I can take this thing out on the road! But with all jokes aside, the only issue some may have is the price tag. But once again, as a nearly 100% Technic-based build, it seems more reasonable. You also have to consider that this is about the same size as the ultimate edition Batmobile that can run upwards of $200 to $500 now. So take that shot in the dark and get yourself one of these!

At $99, this Batmobile is a little less expensive than, say the Lego Ecto-1 or the Back to the Future time machine. It’s not really regular lego, as out of 1360 pieces only 30 or so are Lego. The rest are technic, which I found to be a fun challenge. Two light bricks, orange/yellow under the hood and red under the rear engine (with working pistons btw) enhance this set wonderfully! The end result isn’t quite movie accurate or even realistic but it still looks awesome! I got a seperate light kit as well. Looks mean as heck, very Batman styled. 10/10, will absolutely get another one to mod!

I actually wanted the 1989 Batmobile, but my wife didn’t know which car I was talking about, so when I got this one I was happy, but like “mehâ€.(Didn’t let her know though lol)But all that went away when I put that first piece together and when I started, I couldn’t stop! I dropped my PS5 everyday to get this thing completed and when it was done, I just had to get something else to build. So now my wife got me addicted to these and this was not intentional.A great buy for Batman fans!

From the moment I first saw this Batmobile, I knew it might be my all time fave. I picked up the Lego technic build as soon as I could. I’m not a big Lego fan, but I am a big Batman fan, and it looked fun.As someone who hasn’t assembled Legos in probably 20 years, the instructions couldn’t be easier. It was a fun, challenging, and rewarding build. Huge sense of accomplishment after finishing it.There are about seven bags of pieces. Pretty early on in the build (might have been bag two) I noticed a critical piece was missing. I even checked bags 3 -7 to see if it had been mistakenly packaged in there. It wasn’t. I used the glossary of pieces at the end of the instruction booklet to contact Lego customer service. The rep was super friendly and had a new replacement piece out to me in about a week.Really impressed with the final result. I think the front tires could have been a little bigger, and it’s a bummer that each of the two light gimmicks are BURIED underneath other parts – when those batteries fail, there will be no replacing them.All in all, very happy with this! it looks great on my shelf.

Want to be clear I absolutely love the detail and look on this model.However as a collector, box condition is important as we tend to keep them.The kit didn’t arrive in a shipping box making it look like it was used for a light game of soccer, shipping sticker was place directly on the product box thus ripping out any graphics it came into contact with.As such, I would have given this a 5 if it came in decent condition but because of the condition brings it down to a 3.

This is a very good Technic set and it’s not even that expensive given the cost of some other technic vehicle sets.Now I’m not a huge fan of Technic, I like the endless physics and engineering capabilities it has but I don’t actively seek it out. I don’t like the fiddling when it comes to putting it together either. However… as a petrol head and a lego fan, this is a remarkable build.It kept me captivated and just when some of the building got bland or repetitive, they would break out some interesting building technique or you would start work on the internals of the car and it was genuinely fascinating.Originally I had planned to only buy this set because it’s the muscle car batmobile.. but after building it I’ve done my research and it’s not as complex as some of the other cars. Some technic cars have insane car details. Fleshed out engine bays, and even suspension systems that can be height adjusted.The light brick features are really well implemented as well. Clever ways of activating them which I won’t spoil and they make the bat mobile look incredible in low light.On top of dooming me to buy the other technic cars. It was a very fun build and I definitely recommend getting it. The finished product feels great and looks great!

To date, this is literally the first and only Lego kit I’ve assembled. I’m not mechanically gifted, but the visual instructions kept frustrations to a minimum. It took me the better part of 3 afternoons/early evenings to build, roughly 15-20 hours, but it’s worth it. It looks fantastic atop my bookshelf. Well worth the asking price for fans!

Was looking for this set at my local stores for a while and was unable to. Seen it on Amazon and soon snapped it up. Beautiful build…. My one complaint is the packaging. I know lego comes in a box but it should have been shipped inside of another box as some of us like to keep them.

Great that Lego decided to do a Technic version of a Batmobile. This kit is fun with some challenging sections. Can be completed in a few hours of focused build time or otherwise easil within a day. It is roughly to scale the Lego 89 Batmobile, Batwing, and Tumbler creator expert level kits. Lighting features are cool especially in the dark.
