esigned by famed game designer Bruno Cathala, Kingdomino is a light-hearted fastastical take on dominoes that will keep players coming back for more! In Kingdomino, you are a Lord seeking new lands in which to expand your kingdom. You must explore all the lands, wheat fields, lakes, and mountains in order to spot the best plots. But be careful as some other Lords also covet these lands.
The rules of Kingdomino are fairly simply. Players choose a tile, add it to their Kingdom, and attempt to build a perfect 5×5 grid square (or 7×7 in 2 player!). However, the rules of dominoes most certainly apply, that is, a domino must either connect to their castle (which counts as a wild) or connect it to another domino by matching at least 1 landscape of the chosen domino to another landscape already in the player’s kingdom. On a player’s turn, they will add the domino tile their King is currently on to their kingdom and tehn choose a new domino from the next available line. Once each player has finished these two steps, a new line of 4 random tiles are placed face down, lowest to highest, and then revealed face up. These dominos will be available for players to choose from in the next round. Play continues for a set amount of rounds depending on the number of players. At the end of the game, each kingdom tallies up their points based on the number of like connected landscapes MULTIPLIED by the number of crowns in those connected landscapes.
Kingdomino is recommended for 2-4 players, ages eight and up. Average playing time is 15-20 minutes.
